The site kept a tool named, plainly, the pet selector. Before a reader reaches a single care sheet, the record shows a cluster of pages built for a different moment: the one before a pet exists at all, when a household is still deciding where to find one. This entry reads that cluster as the site published it.

What was the pet selector?

The record shows a dedicated section, addressed under its own path, that the site called the pet selector. The file reads it as an index rather than an article: a short set of questions meant to narrow a household's choice before it ever reached the clinic's door. The practice's other sheets assume a pet is already in the home. The pet selector is the one entry in the archive built for the stage before that, and the file keeps it distinct for that reason.

What were the sources a new pet could come from, according to the site?

The topic index named four of them directly, each as its own sheet: the animal shelter, the breeder, the pet shop, and the rescue agency. The record keeps the four as separate headings, which the file reads as a deliberate choice. The site did not fold the question of origin into a single page of pros and cons. It gave each source its own sheet, named plainly, sitting beside the others in the same index.

Alongside the four sources, the index carried three further sheets on what came next: choosing your pet, finding your pet, and bringing your pet home. The titles name their own content, and the file reads them in that order, because the order is the order the site used. A household moves from the question of where, to the question of which, to the question of how.

How did the site describe the step after arrival?

The record shows a further sheet, living with your pet, and a companion sheet the file notes as unusual among the practice's pages: the veterinary approach. Where the hospital's own service sheets describe procedures, this entry sat inside the new-pet cluster rather than among the medical pages, which the file reads as the site's own judgement that a new household needed the clinic explained to it as a step in settling a pet in, not as a separate subject to find later.

The record does not show the body text of these sheets in detail. What it shows, and what the file reports, is the shape of the cluster: a named path, a topic index, seven named sheets held together under one subject, and a position in the site's architecture distinct from the care sheets written for a pet already settled.

Where did this cluster sit against the rest of the site's library?

The practice's wider topic index, read elsewhere in this dossier, gathered dozens of subjects under a single catalogue. The new-pet cluster was part of that catalogue, but it reads, in the archive, as a sub-group with its own internal order rather than a scattering of loose entries. The pet selector tool sat at the front of it, and the seven topic sheets followed behind, each a few sentences in its own slug, each addressing one piece of a single decision.

A later reorganisation of the site folded this cluster, along with the rest of the topic index, into a single care-sheets library. The record shows the redirect plainly: every sheet named here now points to one address. The file does not read this as a loss of the subject, only as a change of shelf. The questions the cluster asked, a household still asks before any other sheet in this dossier applies to it.

What does the file conclude from the pet selector?

That the site, at some point in its published history, thought it worth building a path for the reader who had not yet acquired an animal at all. Four sources named separately, three steps named in sequence, and a bridge sheet connecting the new household to the veterinary approach it was about to meet. The record keeps the names and the order; it does not supply what the individual sheets argued beyond their own titles, because the archive does not hand the file more than that.

What the pet selector shows, read against the rest of this dossier, is a practice site willing to meet a reader earlier than the appointment book does. The care sheets elsewhere in this file answer a pet already in the house. This cluster answered the question that comes before it: where does the pet come from, and what does a household do in the first days after the answer.

For a household choosing among a shelter, a breeder, a pet shop or a rescue agency, the practical first-weeks questions the site's own wellness plans and behaviour programme were built to answer sit just beyond this one: what a new animal's first year of preventive care looks like, and what a structured behaviour programme can do when a newly arrived pet struggles to settle into its new household's routines.
