Our Hospital has a modern surgical suite and uses human protocols to minimize the risk to your pet from side-effects of the anesthesia. We use human-grade anesthesia, fluid therapy during anesthesia to promote healthy blood pressure, pain medication, and cold laser therapy post procedure to promote soft tissue healing. We require presurgical blood work prior to having your animal go under anesthesia. This is so we can be assured your animal’s liver and kidneys can with stand and metabolize off the anesthetics. This is also to try and determine if there are any other underlying issues. Dr. Amiri devotes Tuesdays to surgery, with Mondays and Fridays being secondary days when needed. Check-in time is 7:30-8:00 AM. The most common procedure’s are spays, neuters, mass removals, and dentals. A Surgical Information Packet is available under Online Forms in the New Patient Center on this web site.
